CBSE cancels Class 10 board exams, postpones Class 12 exams after PM Modi meet. The Indian government on Wednesday declared the cancellation of CBSE board tests for Class 10 and delay in Class 12 exams which were expected for May-June in the wake of the Covid emergency, authorities said.

The updated exam dates will be announced after June 1, authorities said.

The choice was taken at an undeniable level gathering led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the wake of rising instances of Covid sickness (Covid-19). The gathering was attended by Union Minister (Education) Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, schooling secretary, and different authorities.

 

In the proclamation gave after the gathering, the Union instruction service said, “Looking to the current circumstance of the pandemic and school terminations and furthermore considering the security and prosperity of the understudies, it is chosen as follows. The Board Exams for Class 12 to be held from May fourth to June, fourteenth, 2021 are therefore deferred. These tests will be held henceforth.”

The circumstance will be audited on first June 2021 by the Board, and subtleties will be shared hence, the authority explanation read.
